Sean Kingston’s Mother Released from Jail Following Arrest for Fraud and Theft

Sean Kingston’s mother has been released on bail after spending four days in jail following her arrest in the raid at Sean’s house. She can now breathe in the fresh air of Florida once again.

Janice Turner was apprehended just a few hours before Sean during the Broward County Sheriff’s raid on the singer’s Florida home on Thursday. As we previously mentioned, Janice was detained on a warrant for fraud and theft.

According to court records, the 61-year-old woman is currently facing eight charges, which include conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, and identity theft. Following her bail hearing on Friday, she managed to secure her release by posting a $160,000 bond. The Broward County jail reported that she was released on Sunday at approximately 5:54 PM.

Her son, Sean, was also apprehended on Thursday, coincidentally with the same warrant, but in a different location on the opposite coast. Following his performance at Fort Irwin, CA, authorities promptly took him into custody. Sean has remained in San Bernardino County jail since the weekend, awaiting his extradition hearing scheduled for Tuesday, before being returned to Florida.

Janice, who has a prior conviction for bank fraud in 2005, might be returning to Sean’s home in Southwest Ranches, FL, only to find it feeling somewhat empty after the raid. TMZ was able to obtain exclusive photos from inside the house, revealing some of the items that the police confiscated. Among them is a massive LED TV screen valued at $150K.

INSIDE THE RAID

According to authorities, Sean and his mother stand accused of stealing nearly $500,000 worth of jewelry, over $200,000 from Bank of America, $160,000 from a car dealership, $100,000 from First Republic Bank, and even $86,000 for a custom-made bed, all within a span of six months.
