Ryan Gosling to Reprise Role in ‘Papyrus’ Sequel Sketch on ‘SNL’ Focusing on ‘Avatar’ Font Obsession

The long-awaited sequel to the 2017 sketch “Papyrus 2” has finally been released on YouTube, after it was initially cut for time during the live broadcast.

In a recent turn of events, Caitlin Clark, known for her exceptional basketball skills, didn’t hold back in responding to Michael Che’s sexist jokes on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL). The young athlete took to social media to express her disappointment and put Che in his place.

Che, who is a regular on the SNL cast, made derogatory remarks about women during one of the show’s segments. Clark, being an advocate for gender equality, was quick to call him out for his inappropriate comments. She didn’t shy away from standing up for herself and other women who have faced similar discrimination.

In a past sketch, Gosling vividly recounted the decision-making process behind choosing the font Papyrus for the blockbuster. He compared it to a thoughtless child randomly plucking leaves from a garden. As the sketch unfolded, his character became increasingly obsessed with finding the “designer” responsible for the font choice, which haunted him day and night.

In this new sketch, Mooney makes a comeback, but this time, his purpose is not to provoke Gosling’s character, but to bring him solace. Upon discovering that the new “Avatar” logo still employs the papyrus font, albeit in bold, Gosling sets out to find the designer once more and confronts him during a celebration of his career. During their intense confrontation, Gosling discloses his name, Johnathan Wingdings, the son of the creator of the even more unbearable font, Wingdings. And so, the enigma is unveiled.
