According to police, a shooting occurred inside an Indianapolis nightclub early Saturday morning, resulting in one fatality and five injuries.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police North District Commander Matthew Thomas, a shooting was reported inside a business in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis around 1:20 a.m.
According to Thomas, the police have not yet apprehended a suspect as of Saturday morning. The identity of the shooter and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear.
Authorities are currently reviewing video footage of the incident and are in the process of speaking with witnesses. According to Thomas, it is still very early in the investigation.
