Philadelphia 76ers Reveal Statue of Allen Iverson, Fans Mock Its Small Size

The unveiling of the new Allen Iverson statue by the 76ers has left NBA fans puzzled as they question its small stature. Many are scratching their heads, wondering why it is so tiny.

Philadelphia officials recently unveiled a new bust of The Answer outside the Sixers’ practice facility on Friday, and it’s quite sizable. In fact, it’s about the same size as the Heisman Trophy!

The height of the object, including its base, seems to be less than six feet tall. As AI, who stands at 6’0, was at eye level with it.

Fans of the Hall of Famer wasted no time in expressing their disappointment with the statue on social media. Internet personality Jomboy humorously commented, “Sixers promised Allen Iverson a statue and gave him a toy soldier.”

Basketball reporter Jeff Goodman jokingly asked, “Where’s the rest of the statue???”

According to Iverson, he didn’t seem to have any problem with it when he spoke to reporters about the figurine. In fact, he referred to it as a great honor.

Most of the statues outside the team’s Camden practice facility aren’t particularly large. For example, Charles Barkley’s statue is only a few inches taller than him.

However, the internet remained dissatisfied regardless.

It has undeniably been a challenging year for NBA statue-makers. In February, the Lakers unveiled a sculpture dedicated to the legendary Kobe Bryant, which unfortunately featured numerous spelling errors.

The Miami Heat is currently working on the construction of a statue dedicated to the legendary basketball player, Dwyane Wade. The team aims to unveil the statue in the upcoming fall season. It is certainly a thrilling prospect for fans and supporters of the Heat. Let’s remain optimistic that this statue will not encounter any of the challenges faced by similar projects in the past.
