People are loving a dad’s video of his young son interacting with teens at the trampoline park

A father from Montana expressed his admiration for teenagers, calling them “some of the coolest people on the planet.” His appreciation came after witnessing two older boys coming to the aid of his young son at a trampoline park.

One of the teenager’s moms has responded, expressing gratitude for the reassurance that she is “successfully fulfilling her role as a mother.”

A man who goes by the name of The Bearded Bard on TikTok praised two teenage boys from Billings, Montana for their actions at Get Air (Trampoline Park) in a video posted on April 6. In the video, he commended the boys, stating, “If you live in Billings, Montana and your teenage sons were at Get Air yesterday, you should be really proud of them โ€” they’re awesome.” The caption of the video further emphasized their exceptional behavior, stating, “You two were the real MVPs yesterday. You rock.”

The dad shared a video of his 7-year-old son happily bouncing on a trampoline with two teenagers. According to the dad, the older kids started jumping with his son, and he joined in the fun for about 45 minutes.

“They actively participated in every jump with him, ensuring his safety and providing support in case he stumbled. The joy on their faces was evident throughout as they burst into laughter, thoroughly enjoying the experience and assisting him in reaching greater heights. There was even a moment when they attempted to help him execute a flip, leaving everyone in awe of their incredible teamwork!”

The father emphasized, “It was not necessary for those boys to entertain my child. It is my responsibility to entertain my child.”

The teens’ generosity deeply touched him.

In the video, he expressed his admiration for the kind of people who were present: “These are the kinds of people that we need to be raising more of.” He highlighted how these individuals had no prior knowledge of his child but still went out of their way to assist and support him. They enthusiastically helped him jump and flip, ensuring that he had a wonderful time.

He firmly believes that the notion of teenagers being disrespectful is often misconstrued. In fact, he finds them to be some of the most remarkable individuals on the planet. With heartfelt gratitude, he addresses the two boys who were jumping with his kids, expressing his deep appreciation for their actions.

Shikai Bowens, one of the teenagers featured in the video, expressed his gratitude in a comment on the TikTok video, saying, “Thank you, it was such a fun experience!” His mother, Malia Bowens, proudly added, “That’s my son! I’m so proud of him. Thank you and great job, Shikai!”

The “Bearded Bard” did not respond to a request for comment from TODAY.com. However, he mentioned in the comments section of his post that he bought Get Air gift cards for the teenagers.

The TikTok video that went viral in their small Billings community has caught the attention of Malia Bowens, a mother of six who is currently pregnant with her seventh child.

Malia, a single mother before her seventh pregnancy, often found herself crying herself to sleep, questioning her abilities as a mother. The constant scrutiny and criticism from all sides weighed heavily on her.

Shikai, who is 16 years old, shares with TODAY.com that he and his friend Kaycee recently visited Get Air, which happens to be one of his go-to spots for hanging out.

Shikai recalls a heartwarming encounter with a young boy who approached them, eager to learn how to do a backflip. Instead of simply giving him pointers and moving on, the teens decided to stay and play with him, putting their own plans on hold.

“We were really into it,” Shikai says, reflecting on the time spent with her younger siblings who are 8, 9, and 12 years old. “Being a good role model is so much fun.”

Malia describes Shikai as someone who is naturally great with children.

“He is incredibly funny and outgoing,” she remarks. “His gesture may have been small, but it is exactly what the world needs.”
