On a Los Angeles County freeway, truck crushed beneath large trailer in a deadly crash

A driver found themselves in the hospital following a harrowing and fiery collision with the rear of a large truck on the 91 Freeway in the Bellflower area on Friday morning.

A collision occurred at approximately 6 a.m. when a large truck experienced a mechanical failure in the eastbound lanes, near the 605 Freeway.

A black pickup truck collided with the trailer of a semi-truck and immediately burst into flames.

The pickup’s driver’s cab area was almost completely crushed under the trailer in the aftermath of the crash.

Emergency crews rushed to the crash site, prompting the issuance of a SigAlert.

According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, an individual was transported from the scene at 6:30 a.m. Their condition remains unknown.

Unfortunately, there is currently a lack of information regarding the extent and nature of the person’s injuries.

The SigAlert was lifted at around 6:45 a.m.
