NYPD Shares Image of Perpetrator in Vicious Belt Choking Assault

Police have identified a suspect in the horrible incident that sent a lady to the hospital after she was strangled with a belt in public… and they’ve released photographs to help identify him.

The NYPD released photographs from security cameras of the individual they believe is guilty for this incident… who appears to be wearing a similar attire to the original video, with a durag on his head that resembles the white cloth the assailant used to conceal his face.

In the photos, the suspect is dressed in a GAP sweatshirt and white trousers. He’s roughly 5’9″, according to investigators, and he was carrying a bag, just like the guy in the video.

As previously reported, police said the attack occurred in The Bronx last Thursday at around 3 a.m. The footage shows a man sneaking up on the woman before putting a belt around her head and dragging her between two cars, where police say he sexually abused her.

Police went to the site, and the woman was taken to the hospital. She overcame the horrific ordeal. By the way, our law enforcement sources indicate this woman was raped.

Police are requesting anyone with knowledge to call the tip line at 1-800-577-TIPS.
