Naked Gunman’s Unprovoked Attack Claims Life of a Man at an Austin Super 8 Motel

AUSTIN (Agadari) –  In the early hours of Thursday morning, a tragic incident unfolded in the parking lot of a South Austin Super Motel 8, resulting in the death of a man, as reported in a police briefing.

Emergency responders were alerted to the scene, situated off the southbound Interstate 35 service road, following reports of two armed men shortly after midnight.

Upon arrival, the first officers on the scene heard a gunshot. Subsequently, they discovered the suspected gunman and another individual with life-threatening gunshot wounds in the parking lot, according to police spokesperson Ariel Crumes. Despite attempts at first aid, the injured man succumbed to his wounds on-site.

Without incident, the police took the suspected gunman into custody and seized a firearm found at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the incident was isolated, posing no threat to the public.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Austin Police Department had not responded to inquiries regarding potential charges for the detained gunman.
