Authorities are currently in the process of identifying a woman who was discovered with her hands bound behind her back near a river in South Carolina.
A woman was discovered on Wednesday at approximately 3 p.m. near a secluded boat ramp situated along the Coosawhatchie River. This river, located in Jasper County, is situated just north of the City of Savannah.
The woman was transported to the hospital, and deputies provided limited information about her, only mentioning that she is of white ethnicity. They did not disclose the reasons behind her inability to identify herself or her current condition.
The Island Packet reported that the woman showed no response, prompting the deputies to immediately administer CPR.
Authorities have been working tirelessly throughout the night alongside the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division in an effort to identify the woman. Despite their efforts, they have yet to determine her identity.
“We kindly request that you keep the victim and her family in your thoughts and prayers,” deputies stated. “It’s important to remember that this investigation is still in progress.”
