A man from the Midlands was in for a massive surprise when he discovered a forgotten lottery ticket in his car, which turned out to be worth $500,000.

The South Carolina Education Lottery’s 100x The Cash game is a popular choice among players.

According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, a man from the Midlands won $500,000 with a lottery ticket that had been left in his car for two days after being scratched.

“The winner expressed their astonishment, stating that it was a delightful surprise.”

After winning the lottery, the fortunate individual admitted that he carried the winning ticket around in the passenger seat of his car for a couple of days without even realizing that it was worth a staggering half-a-million dollars.

The lucky ticket was bought at The Country Peddler on Wilson Road in Newbery, and the winner wasted no time in cashing it in.

“I will make sure to use it wisely,” he declared. “This unexpected windfall will definitely improve my life.”

There are currently four remaining top prizes of $500,000 in the 100X The Cash game. The odds of winning one of these prizes are 1 in 960,000.

The Country Peddler in Newberry was awarded a commission of $5,000 for successfully selling the ticket in question.
