Jen Psaki of MSNBC reinforces criticism of Trump’s ‘Bloodbath’ comment, asserting, “This is his message.”

Jen Psaki from MSNBC presented evidence of Donald Trump’s past endorsements of political violence, emphasizing that his recent “bloodbath” comments were not misinterpreted.

During a rally in Dayton, OH on Saturday, Trump addressed the crowd and discussed the auto industry. He made the following statement:

We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line. And you’ll not be able to sell those cars, if I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath. That will be the least of it. It’s gonna be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it, but they will not sell those cars.

Jen Psaki responded sarcastically, mocking the Trump team’s statement by saying, “Oh, of course! The Trump team wants us to believe that he was just talking about the auto industry. How convenient! It’s important to consider the full context, otherwise, it would be irresponsible.”

Psaki went on to say:

Well, if they want us to consider the full context, let’s do just that. Because “the full context” is the Trump kicked off the same exact rally by saluting the people who were convicted for the deadly assault on the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, all to the tune of the National Anthem sung by a choir of imprisoned insurrectionists. “The full context” is that some of the first words out of Trump’s mouth last night, same rally, were thanking those rioters and calling them “patriots.” “The full context” is that he also said, in this same rally, quote, “If this election isn’t won, I’m not sure you will ever have another election in this country.” “The full context” is that he went on to say that some undocumented immigrants are, quote, “not people.” And, of course, “the full context” is that this is much bigger than one single speech.

According to Psaki, it is important to note that the full context of the comment was not missed. She emphasizes that this was not just an off-message remark; rather, it reflects his actual message.
