A man from Ohio, who was suspected of committing a murder, was apprehended at a casino in Indiana while attempting to evade capture.
Dalton Leach, a 32-year-old resident of Quaker City, Ohio, was apprehended by the Shelbyville Police in Indiana following a notification from the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office. Leach was wanted for his involvement in a crime and for stealing the victim’s vehicle.
On Tuesday, March 19th, Leach faced charges of two counts of murder, which also included firearm specifications.
After sustaining injuries, Leach was transported to the jail, but later discharged and transferred to the Shelby County Jail.
Indiana police arrested Leach and charged him with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Leach then voluntarily waived extradition and was subsequently transported back to the Guernsey County Jail on the evening of March 18th.
After conducting a thorough investigation, detectives consulted with the Guernsey County Prosecutor to discuss the details of the case. Upon reviewing the evidence, charges of Murder were carefully prepared and subsequently filed through the Cambridge Municipal Court.
