Illinois State Senator accuses Pritzker of manipulating public opinion on migrant issue

Gov. J.B. Pritzker has been accusing southern states of causing chaos by sending non-citizen migrants to Illinois. However, a Republican state senator argues that Pritzker is “gaslighting” taxpayers.

When asked about the ongoing migrant crisis, Pritzker pointed out that the issue lies in leaders from Texas sending migrants to the state without any prior notice.

“I am often perplexed by their motives. It seems they deliberately aim to create havoc,” expressed Pritzker during a separate press briefing. “Fortunately, we have been successful in keeping the situation under control, preventing it from descending into utter chaos.”

State Senator Jason Plummer, a Republican from Edwardsville, issued a response on Wednesday, asserting that Illinois’ policies of neglecting to enforce federal immigration law and providing taxpayer-subsidized “Cadillac” healthcare and other services have made the state the primary attraction for non-citizen migrants across the nation.

According to Plummer, the reason why they are present in such locations is because they have been invited. He believes that the governor’s attempt to downplay or deny any logical arrangement or structure is simply a way of manipulating and confusing the people of Illinois.

According to Plummer, taxpayers could potentially be responsible for over $2 billion in expenses related to migrant services. He expressed concerns about the humanitarian consequences, including human trafficking, sexual assault, and abuse that migrants may face. Additionally, he highlighted the ongoing issue of fentanyl smuggling into the country.

According to Pritzker, there is a lot of “hysteria” on social media surrounding the idea of relocating non-citizens from Chicago to other areas of the state. However, he emphasized that this is not something that has happened, is currently happening, or will happen in the future.

“We aim to assist individuals in attending their hearings and determining their eligibility for legal asylum in the United States. These hearings serve as a crucial step in the process, allowing individuals to either secure their stay or face deportation.”

Hearings of this nature have the potential to be scheduled as far as seven years in advance.

According to Plummer, the policies in Illinois are not effectively attracting people who want to make a positive impact.

According to Plummer, there is a growing concern about organized criminal groups from Venezuela and other places exploiting the lenient crime policies of the governor to target the people of Illinois.

Plummer expressed his strong condemnation of the “political calculation” made by Democrats across the country, stating that it is both “evil and disgusting.” He emphasized the urgent need for strong leadership to effectively tackle this issue and alleviate the human tragedy it has caused.

Plummer argued that not only can’t they afford it, but they are also burdened with increased taxes and reduced services due to the governor’s invitation to these individuals in the state.
