Hope Hicks describes Trump as a diligent worker who managed his company with a familial approach

Hope Hicks, the former Trump aide testifying in his criminal trial, revealed that she had conversations with the former president and his fixer, Michael Cohen, on the very day they learned about Stormy Daniels’ intention to receive payment for her story.

During the court session on Friday, Matthew Colangelo initiated the questioning by requesting Hicks to share her insights on her involvement in crucial meetings during her time as a communications specialist. Hicks candidly admitted to regularly attending meetings in Trump’s office and actively participating in them. She went on to depict her former boss as an exceptional multitasker and an incredibly diligent worker, as reported by The Washington Post.

According to Hicks’ testimony on Friday, she described Trump as running his company “like a small family business.” Although intended as a compliment, this characterization could potentially assist the prosecution in their portrayal of Trump’s involvement in the alleged hush payment scheme at the center of his Manhattan trial.

According to Hicks, everyone working at the Trump organization, in some capacity, answers to Mr. Trump.

According to The New York Times, Donald Trump was fully engaged and attentive during Hope Hicks’ testimony. His eyes were fixed on Hicks, and he appeared more alert than he had been throughout the trial. However, the Times also pointed out that this admiration could potentially backfire, as Hicks has the ability to both praise and harm him with her words.

Hicks’ admiration for her ex-boss on Friday presented a stark contrast to her private sentiments following the Jan. 6 insurrection, as revealed in text messages uncovered by congressional investigators. In a message to a colleague, she expressed her anger and distress, stating, “I’m furious and devastated. We are all being perceived as domestic terrorists now.”
