Gypsy Rose Blanchard Faces Backlash and Defends Mother’s Day Post Amidst Death Threats

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is currently dealing with a significant amount of criticism regarding her Mother’s Day tribute. In addition to facing online threats, she has taken it upon herself to defend her actions.

According to GRB’s conversation with TMZ, her TikTok tribute was a sincere acknowledgement of her stepmother, Kristy, and her boyfriend, Ken Urker’s mom. She wanted to express gratitude for their support and kindness over the past few years. In her heartfelt tribute, GRB mentioned her late mother, Dee Dee, along with other significant mother figures in her life.

The post was not intended to disrespect Dee, as Gypsy mentioned her name in a long tribute. However, many people have taken offense to it, and as a result, Gypsy has been receiving a lot of hate, including some serious threats to her safety.

According to the individual, she clarifies that her statement about hoping her mom is proud of her was misunderstood. She explains that she did not mean her mom would be proud of the murder. Instead, she intended to convey that her mom would be proud of her achievements in heaven, such as obtaining her GED, becoming more independent, and learning important life skills like cooking, cleaning, and managing her own bank account.

Despite disabling the comment section, GRB has received numerous negative messages in her direct messages (DMs), including death threats, which Gypsy has already reported. We have obtained some of these messages that are inundating her inbox, and it is evident that people are bombarding her with hateful messages, with the majority of them aimed at criticizing or even worse.

In her defense, she emphasized the importance of acknowledging the other women in her life on Mother’s Day, despite her own experiences. She expressed, “Just because of what happened with my mom, that shouldn’t mean I can’t extend my wishes to the other women who have been supportive in my life. I didn’t share this message out of arrogance or boldness, but rather because I genuinely appreciate the women in my life.”

Gypsy Rose spent 8 years in prison for her involvement in her mother’s murder. The complex dynamics of their relationship were brought to life in Hulu’s miniseries, “The Act,” where Joey King and Patricia Arquette portrayed the notorious mother-daughter pair.

Gypsy Rose had a low-key Mother’s Day celebration, spending the day with her stepmom. They enjoyed watching chick flicks and taking it easy. Gypsy even cooked dinner for Kristy, who received a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift of a teddy bear and a glass ornament. It was a relaxing and enjoyable day for both of them.

GYPSY ROSE BLANCHARD THROUGH THE YEARS

Dee Dee remained a constant presence in Gypsy Rose’s thoughts, as she took a moment on Sunday to say a prayer for her late mother. Reflecting on their relationship, Gypsy Rose shared, “I choose to remember the good she had in her and the happy moments we shared. I try not to dwell on the abuse or the tragic end. Instead, I miss her and carry a heavy burden of guilt and regret.”
