Georgia man convicted for using fentanyl and cocaine to sell in Florida

A man from Georgia admitted to purchasing a substantial quantity of drugs in Atlanta and then transporting them to Florida for the purpose of selling them.

In March 2023, court documents revealed that Leonel Bautista Solis, 29, was apprehended while traveling from Georgia to Jacksonville, Florida.

Federal agents discovered a cache of illegal substances and weapons during a search of Bautista’s vehicle. In total, they found 1,600 fentanyl pills, cocaine packaged for distribution, and six firearms.

According to reports, he confessed to purchasing the drugs in Atlanta and transporting them to Jacksonville.

Furthermore, he confessed to delivering the guns alongside the drugs.

In February, he admitted his guilt and was recently given a sentence of seven years and eight months in federal prison for distributing over 40 grams of fentanyl.
