Fire officials report that a car burst into flames in a garage, destroying a home in Gwinnett County

A house in Gwinnett County was completely destroyed when a fire, which originated from a car in the garage, quickly spread throughout the entire property.

Gwinnett County Fire Officials were called to a house fire on Crestside Ridge in Snellville at around 8:30 p.m., according to reports.

Upon arriving at the scene, they immediately observed a raging fire emanating from the garage.

A vehicle mechanic was inside the garage working on a car when he attempted to start the engine, which suddenly ignited into flames.

Three individuals were present at the residence when the fire ignited.

The occupants were promptly alerted about the fire, ensuring their safe evacuation from the house without any reported injuries.

A fire has forced a family of four, consisting of two adults and two children, to seek temporary shelter with their relatives and close friends. The fire officials have confirmed that the family has been displaced as a result of the incident.

The firefighters concluded that the fire had started accidentally.
