Ex-school employees accused of putting $40,000 on the Alabama district’s gas cards after they resigned

Two former employees of an Alabama school have been accused of fraud for allegedly using the school district’s fuel credit cards to make unauthorized charges totaling over $40,000 over a span of several years.

Decatur police apprehended Samuel Kieran Booker and Dy-Kerius Rushuan Allen, who have both been accused of engaging in fraudulent activities involving the use of a credit card.

WHNT-TV reported that the duo had been employed by the Decatur City Schools but chose to resign in April 2021.

According to reports, the duo reportedly continued to utilize the school district’s gas card even after they had stepped down from their roles within the district. It is alleged that they accumulated charges exceeding $40,000.
