Don Lemon and Tim Malone tie the knot, share stunning wedding photos

They tied the knot!

Don Lemon and Tim Malone have taken to Instagram to announce their official marriage. The couple shared a delightful photo on Saturday night, precisely five years after their engagement. The picture captures the newlyweds dressed in tuxedos, beaming with joy as they exit a church. Adding to the adorable scene, they are seen holding their three dogs, who are sporting tux-like collars complete with bow ties.

Guests form a second line behind the couple and enthusiastically wave blue handkerchiefs as they make their way to the wedding reception at Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bar. This joyful moment was captured and shared on Lemon’s and Malone’s Instagram Stories.

Former CNN news anchor Don Lemon, aged 58, tied the knot with his husband, a real-estate broker, in a beautiful wedding ceremony held in New York City. The event, attended by 140 guests, took place at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. The ceremony was officiated by Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

According to Allison Gollust, Lemon’s representative, the couple had a “beautiful wedding” and they couldn’t be happier.

“I used to believe that marriage was never in the cards for me,” Don Lemon, host of “The Don Lemon Show,” revealed in an interview with People. Exclusive photos from the event were also published by the magazine. “Throughout my formative years, I kept so many aspects of my life hidden, never even considering the possibility that I could legally get married.”

The grooms donned matching velvet tuxedos – Lemon in green and Malone in blue. Following African-American tradition, they concluded their wedding by jumping over a broom, as reported by People. The star-studded guest list included Matt Lauer, Clive Davis, Joy Behar, Tamron Hall, Dana Bash, and Alec and Hilaria Baldwin.

“We wanted to make a public statement and involve our loved ones,” Malone shared with People. “For many of them, it will be their first experience attending a same-sex wedding.”

In 2019, Malone proposed to his partner by attaching tags to their dogs’ collars that said, “Daddy, will you marry Papa?” They have been engaged ever since.

“When he announced their engagement on social media, Lemon wrote about how he received a present on his birthday. He expressed his joy by saying, ‘How could I say no?’.”
