Car belonging to missing man discovered at Black Hawk park in Rock Island

Joseph E. Beranek, a 46-year-old man, was reported missing to Macomb police on August 27. According to his family, he was last seen on August 21.

Macomb police have reported that the car belonging to a man who has been missing for nearly two weeks has been discovered at the Black Hawk State Historic Site in Rock Island.

Beranek drove to the Rock Island park around Aug. 21, according to the investigation. The park spans over 200 acres along the scenic Rock River.

Beranek stands at a height of 5 feet 6 inches and carries a weight of approximately 190 pounds. His striking features include brown hair and captivating hazel eyes. He was wearing either black or khaki shorts and a trendy blue Looney Tunes t-shirt at the time of his last sighting.

Despite the efforts of multiple search crews, Beranek has not been found since Friday, Aug. 30, when they were last seen at the park.
