Caitlin Clark follows in Michael Jordan’s footsteps with her own line of Wilson basketballs, 40 years later

Caitlin Clark recently inked a lucrative multiyear sponsorship agreement with renowned sports equipment giant, Wilson. As part of this exciting collaboration, a signature line of basketballs will be launched in her honor.

In 1984, shortly after entering the NBA, Michael Jordan signed a partnership deal with Wilson. This partnership deal is reminiscent of the current collaboration between Jordan and DraftKings.

The details of Clark’s agreement, including the financial terms, have not been disclosed at this time. As part of the deal, three unique basketball designs will be released, along with various other Wilson-branded products and initiatives.

In a statement, Clark expressed her excitement about continuing to collaborate with Wilson, as they have been by her side during significant moments in her career. She emphasized her gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the future of basketball through her own basketball collection, which she considers a surreal experience. Clark said, “Wilson has been with me across some of the most pivotal moments in my career so far, and I couldnโ€™t be more excited to continue driving basketball forward alongside them. It feels surreal to have my own basketball collection, and to affect what that means for future generations of athletes.”

Wilson is set to release its first drop in the collection on Tuesday. The collection features a white-and-gold WNBA basketball with personalized laser engravings that celebrate iconic Clark moments. According to the company, this drop is highly anticipated.

According to a statement made by Amanda Lamb, the head of global brand at Wilson, the company is thrilled to collaborate with Caitlin Clark. Wilson aims to celebrate iconic moments in sports and has always been associated with individuals who push boundaries and create their own path. Caitlin Clark is not only a record-breaking athlete but also a cultural icon who has made a significant impact on the game. Wilson is proud to join forces with her to bring innovation to the world of basketball, both on and off the court.
