Bob Barker’s iconic estate had a listing price of $2.9 million. However, the lucky buyer who acquired the property ultimately had to shell out an even higher amount, surpassing the initial asking price.

According to insiders in the real estate industry, Julia Dempster, an interior designer, recently purchased a stunning Hollywood Hills estate. The 6-bedroom, 6-bath Spanish Colonial Revival-style property had only been on the market for a month before Dempster made an impressive offer of $3,788,000 to secure the deal.

Julia had to dig deep into her pockets to snag the estate because it was in high demand. With a staggering 250 showings, it’s clear that many people wanted to own this piece of L.A. history. Now, she can sit back, relax, and enjoy her new home.

One of the earliest houses in Hollywood, if not the very first, is known as the Original “Outpost.” It acquired this name because it belonged solely to General Harrison Grey Otis, the founder of the L.A. Times, during the 1880s.

The current home was built on the site after the previous one was demolished, and it changed hands several times before eventually being acquired by BB. He resided in the house for a remarkable 50 years.

Bob, who sadly passed away in August last year at the age of 99, had kept the property in its original state since he bought it in ’69. As a result, the house still exuded its original charm and retained many of its original features.
