Atlanta radio veteran, Frank Ski, mourns the loss of his oldest son

An Atlanta radio icon is grieving the loss of his son following a long struggle with a chronic illness.

Frank Ski made a heartbreaking announcement about the passing of his eldest son, Jarrett Rodriguez, who sadly passed away on May 10 at the age of 34.

Jarrett showed incredible bravery and grace as he faced various health challenges. Despite these obstacles, he managed to bring immense joy and love into our lives, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We will always hold dear his unwavering strength, resilience, and the brightness he brought into the world. Ski, in an emotional Instagram post, shared that Jarrett’s final words to him were, “Dad, Hold my hand. I love you.”

Ski further shares in the post that his family will always feel a significant void left by his son’s absence.

Ski expressed gratitude to Jarrett’s mother for her unwavering strength during the challenging times, as well as to the dedicated doctors at Johns Hopkins Hospital for providing excellent care throughout Jarrett’s liver transplant in 2021.

The family has decided to hold a private memorial service on Sunday.

Instead of sending flowers, the family kindly requested that individuals consider donating to the Georgia Transplant Foundation and reflect on the possibility of becoming organ donors.
