Alabama takes the top rank among auto-exporting states for the first time

According to the Alabama Department of Commerce, the value of auto exports from Alabama has seen a significant increase of 45% since 2021. In that year, the total value of auto exports amounted to $7.7 billion.

“Alabama’s auto industry has established itself as a dominant force in global exports, as vehicles manufactured within the state are now finding lucrative markets worldwide,” stated Ellen McNair, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce.

“This initiative not only generates employment opportunities within our state, but also strengthens the standing of Alabama’s automotive assembly plants in the global market.”
