Alabama fugitive arrested by U.S. Marshals in Idaho after evading capture for two years

Earlier this afternoon, law enforcement agencies successfully apprehended Kardell Vashae Doss, 30, at the 400 block of E. Washington Ave. in Meridian. The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force, in collaboration with the Meridian Police Department, executed the arrest. Doss had been sought by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama for several felony charges, including Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of Stolen Property.

The USMS Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Alabama launched an investigation into Doss, a fugitive. Their diligent investigation eventually led them to Idaho. With the assistance of the USMS in Boise and the Meridian Police Department, Doss was located and arrested without any complications, effectively putting an end to his two-year escapade.

Doss is currently being held at the Ada County Jail as he awaits extradition back to Alabama to face his state charges.

The USMS Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force collaborates with various agencies across the State of Idaho to track down and apprehend dangerous fugitives at both state and federal levels. These member agencies include the Idaho State Police, Idaho Department of Corrections, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Nampa Police Department, Pocatello Police Department, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
