During Donald Trump’s recent visit to the Upper Midwest, he received considerable attention from local media. However, the visit also brought an unexpected twist as a former supporter stepped forward to voice their dissent against him.
Republican Voters Against Trump recently launched a media campaign in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Grand Rapids, Michigan, strategically coinciding with the former president’s rallies in these two cities. As viewers tuned in to watch these events on TV, they were also exposed to a cautionary message delivered by a voter named Chuck.
Chuck, a former Trump supporter, unequivocally takes responsibility for the Capitol insurrection in his recent ad. He boldly declares, “I am 100% accountable for it.” Chuck’s unwavering stance against the events that unfolded on January 6, 2021, in Washington is evident as he firmly states, “I will never lend my support or cast my vote for Donald Trump again.”
Chuck has stated that he will support the Democratic incumbent over Trump in the upcoming election as the former president aims to regain control of the White House.
“I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I will,” he exclaimed. “I’m going to cast my vote in favor of Joe Biden.”
The advertisement by Republican Voters Against Trump was broadcasted on local television, including on Fox News during popular shows like “Fox & Friends” and commentator Jesse Watters’ show. Additionally, it was also digitally shown in the region during Trump’s visit.
The conservative organization revealed that they have launched a nationwide campaign, worth $50 million, which aims to showcase former Trump supporters who have now turned against him. The campaign includes individuals from various backgrounds, such as everyday voters like Chuck and high-profile figures like former Vice President Mike Pence. Notably, Pence’s critical remarks about Trump have been prominently featured on billboards.
