South Carolina braces for partial solar eclipse, seven years after complete blackout

Get ready for another breathtaking experience as the mesmerizing event from seven years ago returns!

In just a week, a highly anticipated event will take place: a solar eclipse. During this phenomenon, the moon will position itself between the sun and the earth, casting a shadow on our planet. In 2017, many residents of the state were fortunate enough to witness a total solar eclipse. However, this year’s event will be different, offering a unique experience for all.

“It’s truly an incredible experience,” expressed Terry Virts, a former NASA Astronaut.

People across the nation will have the extraordinary chance to witness yet another one.

According to Virts, there are times when the moon aligns directly in front of the earth, creating an eclipse when its shadow reaches the surface.

NASA predicts that the next eclipse will not be visible until 2044. However, Virts had the unique opportunity to witness an eclipse from space.

Virts exclaimed how incredible it was to witness the moon’s shadow on Earth during this astronomical event from space.

He believes that experiencing life on Earth is a more fulfilling journey.

“I had the opportunity to witness the 2017 eclipse while I was in Oregon. It’s truly a remarkable experience to observe it from our own planet,” shared Virts.

In 2017, South Carolina witnessed a remarkable event – a total eclipse. However, this year, the eclipse will be partial, so the changes in the sky won’t be as dramatic as they were when day turned into night for a brief period.
