King Charles says he’s’so proud’ of Princess Kate for sharing her cancer diagnosis

King Charles III has released a statement addressing the recent news of his daughter-in-law Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis.

According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, the king expressed his pride in Catherine for her bravery in speaking out.

In a heartfelt video shared on social media on March 22, Kate revealed the news of her cancer diagnosis. The 42-year-old wife of Prince William had undergone abdominal surgery earlier in the year, which led to a hospital stay of almost two weeks.

“In the video, she explained that initially, her condition was believed to be noncancerous. However, further tests conducted after the operation revealed the presence of cancer.”

The announcement last month from Buckingham Palace revealed that the British Monarch is battling a form of cancer. Now, there’s news that the Queen’s cousin, Lady Gabriella Windsor, has also been diagnosed with the disease.

According to the palace’s statement, King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have been maintaining constant communication with their beloved daughter-in-law over the past few weeks. They express their commitment to providing love and support to the entire family during this challenging period.

Kate revealed in a video message on Friday that her medical team has recommended a course of preventative chemotherapy as part of her treatment plan. However, she did not provide any details about the stage or type of cancer she is facing.

But she did reveal how she is coming to terms with her diagnosis and discussing it with her children. She has three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, with her husband.

“This news came as a big surprise, and my husband, William, and I have been working hard to handle and cope with this situation in a private manner for the well-being of our young family,” she shared. “As you can imagine, it has been a process that has taken time. I needed time to recover from a significant surgery before I could begin my treatment.”

“But, more importantly, we have dedicated time to thoroughly explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a manner that is suitable for their understanding. We have made sure to reassure them that I will be fine,” she emphasized.

The Princess of Wales reassured everyone that she is “well and improving every day.” She expressed her gratitude to the public for their support but requested privacy during this challenging period.

โ€œHaving William by my side brings me a lot of comfort and reassurance. I am also incredibly grateful for the love, support, and kindness that many of you have shown us. It means a great deal to both of us,โ€ she expressed. She further mentioned that she hoped the public would understand that, as a family, they needed some time, space, and privacy while she underwent treatment.
