Prosecutors apprehend heroin and fentanyl dealer in Wildwood

29-year-old Christian Ramos from Wildwood was apprehended on Friday, March 15, as stated in a news release by Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland. The assistance of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations was enlisted to conduct searches on Ramos, his vehicle, and various locations in Wildwood and Middle Township.

During the operation, law enforcement confiscated approximately 1,000 bags of heroin along with $5,450 in cash. Subsequent laboratory analysis revealed that the heroin that had been previously seized tested positive for fentanyl and xylazine.

Ramos faced charges for possessing a controlled dangerous substance with the intention to distribute, as well as for possessing a controlled dangerous substance, money laundering, and distributing drug paraphernalia.

Ramos found himself confined within the walls of the Cape May County Correctional Facility. According to prosecutors, they have made it clear that if convicted, he could potentially serve a sentence ranging from five to ten years in state prison.
