On Sunday, two separate incidents of gun violence occurred in Toledo, resulting in injuries for the victims, according to the Toledo police.
Aaron Oliver, 33, was discovered on Sunday morning around 8 a.m. with at least one gunshot wound in the 1000 block of Oakwood Avenue. The police responded to a ShotSpotter report in the vicinity. Oliver’s pickup truck, marked with multiple bullet holes, had crashed into a house in the 1700 block of Forest Avenue. Authorities believe he fled to the Oakwood location following the shooting. Oliver was promptly transported to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, and fortunately, his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
In a separate incident, Robert Dunn, 50, was found in an apartment in the 5900 block of Walnut Circle with multiple gunshot wounds after the police were alerted to a person shot at 11:07 p.m. He was rushed to the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly known as the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, where he remained in critical condition as of Monday.
