Parts of Alabama may experience chilly nights in the upcoming days, with freeze warnings in effect for certain areas of the state.
According to the National Weather Service, the upcoming nights will bring varying low temperatures across Alabama. In the northern part of the state, temperatures are expected to drop to the upper 20s, while central Alabama will experience lows in the low to mid-30s. In the southern regions, temperatures are forecasted to be in the low 40s.
Freeze warnings are set to take effect at midnight tonight for all of north Alabama and the northern part of central Alabama, according to the weather service. Those residing in these areas are advised to safeguard any delicate plants or vegetation that may be vulnerable to the cold temperatures.
Temperatures in south-central and south Alabama will not dip below freezing, meaning there are no freeze warnings currently in effect.
Monday night in Alabama will bring another cold evening, although there are a few areas that may experience slightly higher temperatures. Take a look at the projected low temperatures for Monday night into Tuesday morning:

A freeze warning has been issued for multiple counties in Alabama, including Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb, and Cullman. The warning will be in effect from midnight tonight until 9 a.m. on Monday. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions to protect plants and sensitive outdoor items from the freezing temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, temperatures in the warning areas could drop as low as 29 degrees by Monday morning.
CENTRAL ALABAMA

A freeze warning has been issued for Marion, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, and Randolph counties. The warning will be in effect from midnight tonight until 9 a.m. Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, there is a possibility of low temperatures ranging between 30 and 32 degrees in those areas.
Temperatures are expected to gradually warm up through the week, but these nights could be the coldest.
