A crash occurred on Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri, involving eleven individuals.
Emergency crews were called to Raytown Road between East 87th Street and East 90th Terrace at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Multiple extractions were required, according to a spokesperson from the KCMO Fire Department.
According to the investigation, the police found that a white GMC Acadia and a blue Chevy Malibu were speeding south on Raytown Road.
The Chevy veered off the road to the right and collided with a tree, while the GMC also left the road to the right and flipped over.
According to the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD), one toddler suffered life-threatening injuries, another toddler sustained critical injuries, and two more were seriously injured.
The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) has stated that they are currently investigating the driver, who sustained critical injuries, for potential impairment.
Four individuals, including the driver, suffered injuries of varying severity within the GMC, according to the police.
Eight ambulances were called to respond to the scene, as reported by the Raytown Fire Protection District.
