According to local officials, a Ukrainian shopping center in Kharkiv was targeted by Russian forces on Saturday, resulting in the death of four people and leaving 38 others wounded.
According to sources in local law enforcement, the casualty numbers are expected to increase as this supermarket is typically busy on weekends and employs numerous individuals. Oleh Synyehubov, the Kharkiv governor, stated on Ukrainian television that they have currently identified 16 individuals who are officially reported as missing.
According to Synyehubov, a second strike occurred in Kharkiv, resulting in 12 injuries, including a 13-year-old boy.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that approximately 200 individuals were present in the shopping center at the time of the attack. He is persistently appealing to other countries for assistance and support.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of bolstering Ukraine’s air defense and modern combat aircraft. He stated that if Ukraine had sufficient capabilities in these areas, it would prevent Russian strikes. Zelenskyy called upon all leaders and states to support Ukraine in strengthening its air defense and equipping it with the necessary means to combat Russian terrorists.
