Taylor Swift performed an acoustic set during her Eras Tour show in Paris on Sunday. One of the surprise songs she sang was “The Alchemy.” This particular song contains various football metaphors, which has led fans to speculate that Swift wrote it about her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Wow, can you believe this is already the 87th show?” Swift exclaimed as she took the stage for her acoustic set at La Dรฉfense Arena. Coincidentally, Kelce, the football player, wears the number 87. Swift then mesmerized the audience with a captivating guitar performance, seamlessly blending her new album’s track, “The Alchemy” from “The Tortured Poets Department,” with the beloved classic, “Treacherous” from her album “Red.”
Kelce was positioned in his box while Swift glanced up at him, and the crowd observed the interaction between the two.
In a rare occurrence, Swift melodiously expressed, “This phenomenon takes place only once in a blue moon. These chemicals have a similar effect on me as a glass of fine white wine.”
The crowd erupted with deafening cheers.
Travis Kelce attended the last night of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Paris, joining over 40,000 enthusiastic fans. He enjoyed the concert from a box seat, where he was accompanied by actor Bradley Cooper, supermodel Gigi Hadid, and rock star Lenny Kravitz.
Kelce has made his fifth appearance on the tour alongside his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Their first stop was in Buenos Aires, Argentina, followed by Sydney, Australia, and two nights in Singapore. Each time Kelce has shown his support from the sidelines, Swift has modified the lyrics of her song “Karma” to include the phrase “guy on the Chiefs.”
Kelce had not witnessed the live performance of the new set list since Swift made changes to the eras and introduced her 11th era, aptly named “The Tortured Poets Department.” Swift revealed that she had been working on these changes for a period of 8-9 months, starting from last fall.
For quite some time now, Hadid has been an integral part of Swift’s squad and has been romantically involved with Cooper for a few months.
Grey’s Anatomy actor Jessica Capshaw and singer Christina Milian were also among the celebrities spotted in the crowd.
Continuing her European tour, the next destination on her itinerary is Stockholm, Sweden.
