Rob Marciano, who has been a familiar face on weekend broadcasts of “Good Morning America,” has departed from ABC News, as confirmed by a reliable source. Marciano, a seasoned meteorologist, had been a part of the network for a significant period of time.
ABC News and Nat Geo have joined forces to create an exciting 2-hour live special called “Eclipse Across America,” which will air on April 8th.
Marciano joined ABC News in 2014 and took over the role on “GMA” that was previously held by Ginger Zee. However, there were rumors circulating about Marciano’s departure from “GMA’s” Times Square Studios due to conflicts with other staff members. These reports were covered by outlets like The New York Post.
Marciano’s professional background includes working as an anchor for “Entertainment Tonight” and serving as a meteorologist and anchor for CNN. Before assuming these positions, he gained experience working at various local TV and radio stations, such as KATU in Portland, Oregon, KPLC-TV in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and WVIT in West Hartford, Connecticut.
