Emma Stone, the well-known actress, is seeking to add a touch of formality by considering a change in her name.
In a recent interview with “The Hollywood Reporter,” Stone expressed her desire to move on from being called Emma and instead be referred to by her true name, Emily.
Stone revealed that she initially chose the name Emma Stone as her stage name because another SAG-AFTRA actress had already claimed the name Emily Stone.
A few years back, Stone admits that she reached a breaking point where she couldn’t handle it anymore. She made the bold decision to take a different path, following in the footsteps of Emily.

People close to her have taken note of the change and now refer to her as Emily when they talk to her.
However, Stone confessed that she would never correct her fans if they approached her and called her Emma.
EMMA STONE THROUGH THE YEARS
During the THR interview, Emma Stone was accompanied by her “The Curse” co-star, Nathan Fielder, who affectionately calls her “Em.” Stone appears to be completely fine with the nickname given by Fielder.
We will have to wait and see if the name Emily becomes as popular as Emma did. Only time will tell.
