In an Instagram post, Hewitt revealed the cover of her book, “Inheriting Magic: My Journey Through Grief, Joy, Celebration, and Making Every Day Magical.” The enchanting cover depicts Hewitt sitting with a book and wand, accompanied by her mischievous children, as they embark on a magical adventure together.

According to Hewitt, making the decision to feature her children on the cover was a difficult one.
“It was an incredibly difficult decision for us to decide whether or not to reveal our children to the public,” Hewitt shared. “However, my husband and I strongly believed that we couldn’t truly share our story without acknowledging the profound impact they have had on our lives, enriching it with an abundance of joy and wonder.”
Hewitt’s highly anticipated memoir is scheduled to be released on December 10, 2024. The book description reveals that the pages will delve into Hewitt’s personal journey as she strives to preserve the memory and impact of her mother, who tragically lost her battle with cancer in 2012. Through her compelling narrative, Hewitt shares her determination to transform the ordinary aspects of life into extraordinary moments of magic and wonder for her children.

Alongside the joyous news of welcoming her first child, a beautiful baby girl named Autumn James, she also revealed that she had secretly tied the knot with her fiancé, Brian Hallisay.

Atticus James, 8
Jennifer Love Hewitt and her partner Brian Hallisay welcomed their second child in June 2015. In a recent interview with People, Hewitt shed light on the reason behind their children’s similar names.
“We chose the name Atticus because we both felt it was a strong and fitting name,” she shared. “Both Autumn and Atticus have the middle name James, which is in honor of Brian’s grandfather. We thought it would be adorable for them to have the same initials and middle name.”
Hewitt provided some insights into Autumn’s experience as a new big sister when their family welcomed Atticus.
“My dog, Atticus, has captured my sister’s heart. She adores him and showers him with kisses throughout the day. Their favorite time together is when they cuddle. In the fall of 2021, Hewitt and Hallisay joyfully welcomed their third child, a baby boy who, like his older siblings, shares the middle name James. Hewitt took to Instagram to announce the news and shared a heartwarming post that gave us a glimpse of her older children’s budding sense of humor.
Hewitt proudly showcased her pregnant belly adorned with sticker eyes and playful phrases such as “Almost cooked” and “It’s a boy.”
In a heartfelt post, she shared, “This is how my kids ended up sending me to the hospital. My belly became the center of attention. It is believed that during labor, women leave their bodies and journey to the stars to gather the souls of their babies before returning to this world together.
