Trump responds to Kimmel’s jokes about hush money trial and social media company

In a recent morning post on Truth Social, Trump vented his frustrations towards Jimmy Kimmel, the host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” In his scathing remarks, Trump referred to Kimmel as “stupid” and a “fool,” while also criticizing his performance as the host of the Oscars. It’s worth noting that Trump had previously criticized Kimmel during the awards ceremony itself, and Kimmel responded by reading Trump’s post out loud on live television, providing a real-time review of his own performance.

In a scathing critique, Trump lashed out at the host of the Academy Awards, calling him a fool and labeling him as the worst host in television history.

In a recent post, Trump didn’t directly reference Kimmel’s Tuesday monologue. However, it is worth noting that his response came after Kimmel delivered a scathing series of jokes aimed at the presumptive presidential GOP nominee.

In his monologue, Kimmel kicked off with a humorous take on the ongoing jury selection in Trump’s first criminal trial. He humorously referred to it as “another Stormy day in New York” and likened the proceedings to an episode of “The Orange People’s Court,” with Donald J. Trump playing the role of the defendant. Kimmel added a touch of anticipation, suggesting that this trial is just the beginning of many more to come.

Jimmy Kimmel ridiculed Trump’s social media post from earlier in the day where he targeted the judge involved in the case. Kimmel humorously remarked, “It’s classic Donald Trump to complain about being under a gag order while simultaneously violating that very gag order.”

Jimmy Kimmel humorously suggested that Trump might be receiving tranquilizers from his lawyers to prevent him from having outbursts in the courtroom, as there were reports of him falling asleep during proceedings.

Trump is currently dealing with 34 criminal charges for falsifying business records. These charges are related to reimbursements made to his former fixer, Michael Cohen. It has been alleged that Cohen paid $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an alleged affair she had with Trump before the 2016 election.

In a lighthearted manner, Kimmel quipped about Trump’s supposed payment, suggesting that it was an attempt to prevent his supporters from discovering his true nature as a dishonest and immoral person. However, the irony lies in the fact that Trump’s followers seem unperturbed by his deceitful and unscrupulous actions.

“He added that he could have saved himself a significant amount of money and a lengthy trial.”

Kimmel also made fun of the declining stock prices of Trump’s media company. Truth Social, the parent company of Trump Media & Technology Group, experienced significant losses in the stock market. Although it had a strong start last month, with shares reaching over $79 on its first day of trading, the price dropped to around $62 by the end of the week. Shortly before the Tuesday closing bell, Truth Social’s share price had fallen by more than 13 percent to approximately $23.

Donald Trump, the ex-president, possesses a significant majority stake of approximately 58 percent in Trump Media.

According to Jimmy Kimmel, the Trump children are facing some troubling news as their father’s media company is running into financial trouble. The shares for the company have taken a nosedive, plummeting 70 percent since going public a few weeks ago. To make matters worse, the shares dropped an additional 14 percent just today.

During his monologue, Kimmel humorously remarked, “If you purchased Trump’s stock two weeks ago – and I must say shame on you if you did – you would have lost half of your money. But hang in there a little longer, and you might just be able to lose all of it.”
